adult worm
Adults fly at medium speed, like to glide, often jump, and have high vigilance. Often seeks flowers and sucks nectar in the early morning and evening.
reproduction and development
Female butterflies can lay eggs several times a year, and no more than 20 eggs are laid at a time. After hatching, the larvae will continue to eat, and if the plant is too numerous to starve, they will eat their own kind. It takes about 6 weeks from egg to pupa, and the pupal stage is about 1 month or longer. Pupa disguise as dead leaves or branches. The larvae move away from the host plant before pupating. They will choose to break their pupae in the morning when the humidity is higher to avoid drying out their wings.
host plant
Mainly Rutaceae, Lauraceae, Umbelliferae and Aristolochiaceae. Many of them are citrus pests
